Sheltered Housing

What is sheltered housing?

It is housing with support for people of pensionable age. There are scheme officers employed by Shepherds Bush Housing Association who visits homes to ensure tenants safety and security. They can check on tenants welfare during the weekdays. All flats are linked to a central alarm system, so there is always someone to help in case of an emergency. Social activities and outings are organised on a regular basis, and these are popular as they help to tackle isolation. There is a common room for parties and activities, and regular visits by SBHA staff including housing management and maintenance surgeries at the scheme.

Our sheltered housing stock

We manage 73 one bedroom flats based in Hammersmith and Fulham, located at three schemes, one in Hammersmith and two in Fulham. Half of our vacancies are offered to applicants referred to us by the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. The other half are mostly taken up by our own tenants who need to transfer into sheltered housing, and from the waiting list.

If you want to go on the waiting list, please phone our Westside Support Manager on 020 8222 7328 to request an application form. If you want to register with your local Council's sheltered housing waiting list:
• You need to be living in the Borough
• You will also need to be of pensionable age.

The Hammersmith and Fulham waiting list is managed by the Elder Persons Rehousing Manager - 020 8748 3020.
