Domestic Violence
What is domestic violence?
"Domestic Violence is violence which usually takes place inside
people's homes. It includes mental, sexual, as well as physical
violence. Abuse and violence occurs within families of every type,
race, class or culture. The violence usually gets worse once it
starts and isn't trivial. It can lead to miscarriages, broken
bones, internal injuries, mental breakdown and death. Everyone has
the right to be treated with respect, dignity, equality and without
violence within their family" - Thames Valley Police
