About Westside Support Services
Westside Support Services is a department within Shepherds Bush
Housing Association which provides housing and support to a variety
of vulnerable people. Sheltered Housing is part of the same
department and provides housing and support for older people.
The department directly manages approximately 300 bed spaces and
self-contained flats which provide a mixture of both permanent and
temporary accommodation, as well as floating support services. We
also work in partnership with many voluntary agencies providing a
wide portfolio of over 275 supported housing flats and bed
spaces.
Our supported housing stock is based in the London Boroughs of
Hammersmith & Fulham, Ealing, Hounslow and Hillingdon. The team
provides support to a broad range of supported housing client
groups either directly or through partner agencies including:
learning disabilities, refugees, young people leaving care, women
fleeing domestic violence, ex-offenders, the single homeless and
people with mental health problems.
Approximately half our stock provides temporary accommodation and
we aim to assist tenants to move on to permanent housing. The team
also provides housing management to 73 self-contained Sheltered
Housing properties with Sheltered Scheme Officers providing a
support service.
We have a commitment to building and encouraging tenant
participation and we actively seek tenants'
views.
