Shepherds Bush supporters win TPAS awards
Jane Sheehan, Shepherds Bush Housing Group's (SBHG's)
intouch@sbha officer, won the
'Tenant Liaison Officer of the Year' award from TPAS (Tenant
Participation Advisory Service) for the London & South East
region.
Jane now goes on to the national TPAS awards ceremony in August to
compete against four other regional winners for the coveted
title.
She says: "I'm so pleased to win this award and it is recognition
of the excellent work SBHG
continues to do with our residents. I'm excited at being a national
award nominee, but am not getting too carried away just yet!"
Lindsay Leyburn, one of SBHG's most actively involved tenants also
received third place in the 'Tenant of the Year' category.
Lindsay, who is 81 years young, has been actively involved with
SBHG for over two years. As a retired structural engineer his
knowledge really benefits his neighbours and the organisation. He
is a tenants' committee member and sits on our estate and empty
properties sub-committee and our maintenance forum panel.
Paul Doe, SBHG Chief Executive says: "We're very proud of our
resident involvement record at SBHG and to receive external
recognition for our work is very satisfying. Jane and Lindsay both
deserve their awards and I, along with our residents and staff,
salute their achievement."
