Service users enjoy Supported Housing event
More than 150 service users attended the annual
Supported Housing event held at Sir Oswold Stoll Community Hall in
Fulham recently.
The event was packed full of fun events ranging from an afternoon
tea dance, complete with cream tea and entertainment, provided by
Terry and Rita. Prizes were awarded to service users for best
dancer and best runner up.
A presentation by Cathy Weight (acting Head of Supported Housing)
provided an update on Supported Housing with new initiatives
including the launch of a Supported Housing newsletter.
Kevin Jones (New Initiatives & Fundraising Manager) also
presented on the 'Youth Charter' and volunteering
opportunities.
The evening saw a play produced and performed by Cardboard Citizens
about 'Urban Wildlife' - a trilogy of performances following the
lives of three individuals encountering difficult and frustrating
circumstances, which invited audience participation.
The evening was concluded with a disco by Rowe.
