Connected exceed development targets
The Connected partnership, namely Shepherds Bush Housing Group,
Octavia Housing & Care and the Origin Group, has smashed its
2007/2008 development targets.
Thanks to close collaboration, good financial acumen and sharing
best practices, the figures for the financial year are more than a
little impressive:
- For start on site development properties the requirement was
263 for the twelve months, and the teams have smashed the figure by
starting to create an astonishing 541 new homes - over 200% of the
target.
- For completions of new homes, the Connected partnership
development teams have created 537 homes within the year, when the
target was 469 - exceeding by some 15% which is a magnificent
achievement.
Paula Fance, SBHG's Director of Development and Sales says: "The
Connected partnership is an excellent and innovative approach to
creating affordable housing. Working with our peers enables the
Group to take on larger projects and obtain more Housing
Corporation funding than we could achieve independently.
"We are delighted that the Connected partnership is having a real
impact for people in creating quality homes. With the extra funding
secured from the Housing Corporation for 2008/11 we will go from
strength-to-strength and I look forward to many more successes in
the future."
